Empowering human resource for digitisation

Measures have been taken to empower the human resource needed for digital state service.

Accordingly, the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) says that the opportunity has now been granted to the Chief Supplemental Officers of Sri Lanka and Senior Managers to follow postgraduate courses on digitisation.

The government will provide an opportunity to allow 30 people to take part in these courses.

Agency Program Manager Sameera Jayawardena, stated that this has been implemented jointly, by the Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) and the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

He added that through the creation of such opportunities, the ability to turn the concept of an ‘e- Sri Lanka’ into a reality, becomes even more feasible.

The scholarships for this higher education fellowship were presented at the Post Graduate Institute of Management (PIM).

The Additional Secretary of the Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure Ministry Chandana Rodigo, Agency Director of PIM (Projects) Arunesh Peter, Prof. Ajantha Dharmasiri, Director, Lloyd Fernando were also present at the event.
